Games for 9/10 Cancelled

Fairfax County has closed all fields for Sept. 9-11 because of all the rain. So the games scheduled for Saturday Sept. 10 have been cancelled. Please notify your teammates.

2011 Fall Season Planning Underway

We are beginning to play the fall 2011 season. Jonathan Dancy, the league commissioner for the past few years is moving to Texas and has handed the reigns of the league to DJ Bryant. We are working on securing a field for us from Fairfax County. If you are interested in playing this fall in the league, please email John Falke, johnfalke at me.com

Play-ins and Playoffs: Seeds are set!!

The 2010 regular season has come to an end and the playoff seeding are set. The play in game will be this weekend, 11/6, at 9am. Playoffs will be held on 11/20. For a full playoff schedule, including seedings, check out the Schedule tab. See everyone on 11/20!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: 10/16 games

Today is a “pyramid day” at the field for Washington Irving, meaning our normal field is occupied. I had called the county office a few weeks ago to arrange an alternate field, and had forgotten to follow through with them when I didn’t get a response.

John Gulley is at the field currently and has spoken w/ the school officials. It looks like, FOR NOW, we’ll be able to play our games on the field directly behind the school (where we played a few years ago). School officials indicated they wouldn’t be using that field. So, please just proceed behind the school, and hopefully we’ll be able to complete all the games today.

I’m very sorry for this!!! It just slipped my mind. Stay in touch with your team captain…I will be in contact with them to ensure that the games are still on.

Welcome to the 2010 season!

Sorry about the delay everyone, but welcome to the 2010 season! We had a nice opening weekend of play, and it’s good to get back out on the field. I’ve updated the blog to include Week 1 scores.

I’ll update the blog each week if the weather is iffy to indicate a “go/no go” decision, so check each Saturday morning before you head to the field.

Looking forward to seeing everyone out at the field!

Warriors: 2009 Champs!

Congrats to the Warriors! They defeated More Cowbell 31-13 in the finals to claim their 2nd straight league title. All the playoff results can be viewed here in the Playoff Bracket Final Results.
