A few notes for the games this weekend:

  • I will have a weather update by 6pm this Friday, so please check the blog then for an official go/no go decision on the games if the weather is iffy.
  • The field will be available at 7:30 am for warmup for the first game.
  • Please remember that it is the responsibility of EVERY team to patrol the field after your game and pick up litter.  Please pay particular attention to the sidelines and bleacher area.
  • The field will be available for warmups for the first game at 7:30

IBCFFL Week 4

The weather does not look good for tomorrow.  Please check the blog tonight after 5 pm for a weather update regarding the games.

Other Week 4 notes:

– Please remember that it is the responsibility of EVERY team to patrol the field after your game and pick up litter.  Please pay particular attention to the sidelines and bleacher area.

– Please remember that, for the safety of the players, diving to advance the ball isn’t allowed.

– If we play games this week, rosters are due.  If games are not played, rosters may be turned in next week.  A roster template can be found under the “Rules and Forms” tab.

*****Weather has been good this week and week 3 games are ON!*****

Fortunately, we were able to play 3 out of 4 games last weekend.  The 8 am game of Team Jesus v. The Knights has been postponed to 11/8 1:25pm.  

Other Week 3 notes:

– Please remember that it is the responsibility of EVERY team to patrol the field after your game and pick up litter.  Please pay particular attention to the sidelines and bleacher area.

– Metal cleats aren’t allowed.  Captains, please ensure that your players aren’t wearing them.

– Captains, if you haven’t paid your team dues, make sure you bring them this weekend.  You can give them to Jonathan or head official John Gulley.

– All players must sign a waiver.  Captians, it is your responsibility to collect the waivers from each of your players and turn them into Jonathan.  The league waiver can be found under the “Rules and Forms” tab.

– Assuming no weather cancellation next week (9/27), rosters will be due.  Please turn them into Jonathan by then.  A roster template can be found under the “Rules and Forms” tab.

Week 2

Unfortunately, the Week 1 games were rained out, so we had to delay the start of the season.  Week 2 weather doesn’t look great either, so make sure that you check back after 5 pm today, 9/12 for a status on the games tomorrow.

Make sure that your team is present and ready to play at the designated time so we can keep things moving and on schedule.  Also, please see that your team wears shirts/jerseys of the appropriate color.
 

1) WEATHER: The league blog will be updated by 5 pm this Friday evening, September 12th, with an official “go” or “no go” determination.  Please check for game status after that time.  
 
2) FIELD CLEANUP: EACH TEAM is responsible for ensuring the field is clear of trash and debris following their respective game.

3) DUES: Dues of $600/team are due from each team by the first week of play.  You will not be allowed to play until your team has paid.

4) WAIVERS: Waivers for each player participating in the league are due the first week fo play as well.  The form can be downloaded from the blog.

5) ROSTERS: Rosters are due by the third week of play.  You can download a roster template from the blog.  Please turn them in to Jonathan  
 
6) SPORTSMANSHIP REMINDER: The primary goal of this league is to provide Christian men and their friends an opportunity for fun, challenging, aggressive, and CLEAN competition.  Physical altercations, abusive language, or cheap shots WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.  It is everyone’s responsibility to control yourself and hold your teammates accountable.  PLEASE DO SO.  Players that do not abide by the rules will be ejected, and we will support the referees in any decisions they make.  Keep it under control so we can keep this league fun and competitive for everyone.

Congratulations to Who’s Next!

Congrats to Who’s Next, the 2007 IBC League Champs.  Thanks to everyone who made it out for championship weekend.  We hope you all had a great season and are looking forward to playing next fall!  The playoff bracket has been updated and can be found in the weekly results and schedule tabs, and the League History tab has been updated to reflect the new champs and All Star team.
